Russ or Loren,

How were those numbers derived?

I have a copy of the US Sailing Performance Package for a "stock" 9.1 and the polars in it are quite different.

This is what they list as "optimum"

(man that was a lot of typing!)

It appears these polars recommend narrower angles at lower speeds than Loren's

Just bought Hull #31 (Whisper, ex Cowardly Lion) now renamed "Survivor". I sail in Southern California, home port is Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard. Does anyone have a set of polars for their 9.1? I've been racing for 20 years, the last 15 on my NY 36 (an 80% fractional rig), which I sold in a moment of weakness.

It seems that I should trim the boat as if it were a fractional rig, due to the large main. Sailed our 1st race and took a 2nd in a 3 race regatta. The boat seems to come alive when "caps" show up (10 knots +). Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
