The 2009 Lake Michigan One Design Championship series will consist of four regattas: South Haven Invitational Regatta South Haven Yacht Club June 13 & 14 S2 9.1 NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP Chicago NOOD Regatta Chicago Yacht Club June 19 - 21 MBYC Commodores Cup Regatta Macatawa Bay Yacht Club - Holland Michigan August 8 & 9 Governors Cup Regatta Muskegon Yacht Club September 5 & 6 Scoring for the 2008 Lake Michigan One Design Championship will be as follows: The low point scoring system will be used for all individual races and for the season totals. The season Championship will only consider individual race scores from regatta events where four or more S2 9.1 Meter boats attend and compete in that event. To maintain equality between geographic locations and across all events: if a single regatta event completes more than five races, only the best 5 finishes at that event will be considered in each boat’s total season score. Thus the maximum number of races to be considered in the series scoring will be 20. The season Championship scoring will count the best 70 percent of those races considered in each boat’s series total. For example: if 20 races are completed, each boat’s best 14 finishes will be scored. DNS will be scored as the number of boats competing in the series plus one; for example if 11 boats compete in the series, DNS would score 12 (11 plus 1). Tie-breakers for the series will be determined using the most-firsts, most-seconds, most-thirds, etc. system. Trophies will be awarded to top season finishers if more than one regatta event is completed under these rules. S2 9.1 Skippers & Crew, The South Haven Invitational is the first one design regatta on our 2009 Schedule. The dates are June 13 & 14 this year. I have attached the entry form and sailing instructions for this regatta. Please mail in your entry form to the South Haven Yacht Club. After talking with a few owners here is what I know about South Haven: -Desperado will be sailing -Spectra will be sailing -Main Squeeze will be sailing - may need some crew - Tom? -Stimulator will be sailing, provided that Chris gets some repair work completed and the boat is in the water. Tenacity is questionable - The crew of Tenacity is sailing on a Beneteau 36.7 called Nemesis this summer. Dick said they are going to do the Holland regatta and the Muskegon Regatta on Tenacity, but will most likely sail the South Haven regatta on the 36.7.

S2 9.1 Skippers and Crew, The 2009 Chicago NOOD regatta will be the second regatta on our 2009 sailing schedule. The Chicago NOOD will be held on June 19-21, 2009.
