Sorry for the delay in responding to your e mails. It is looking like we have interest in 4-5 S2 9.1 poles, 3-4 J/30 OD poles and 2 J/29 poles. I have Forespar and Hall putting pricing together for a group purchase now. What is looking like the best deal is making the same pole I have on my boat, which is a 2.5" OD carbon pole with a clear coat finish, using Forespar composite ends and a spectra bridal. The ends are the "UXP" External Trip ends. There are NOT "Trigger Lock" ends. I know trigger lock is not allowed in the J/30 fleet. I have not seen any reference to them in the S2 9.1 rules. I prefer the non-locking ends better anyway. If you do want the locking ends, and do not need to comply with any OD rules, we can work it out. After sailing a J/30 in a very competitive Chesapeake Bay OD class for about 6 years and now looking to get some One Design racing for the many 9.1 on the bay that sail PHRF, I know the importance of trying to keep the boats OD. If you know of anyone in your club who may be intrested in this package please let them/me know. I am hoping to have some pricing back soon and will be able to pass this along to you ASAP.
