FWIW I have been getting quotes on this project and the cost of the rods is not a major percentage of the total cost. To me, it doesn't make any sense to skimp there. The Navtang fittings in the mast are ridiculously expensive, over 500$ per set. They add up to almost half the cost of the refurb job. I have been talking to riggers about alternatives to the Navtangs. |
