I am wondering if anyone else has experienced any gelcote cracking or hull delamination at the water line. I own hull #5 and am experiencing some cracking in the gelcote specifically along the boot stripe on the port and stbd bow (aft 10 feet) and also on stbd side near the stern. The cracks are not major and there is no water intrusion to the fiberglass (yet). I'm not too worried because the cracks are above the water line and on a vertical surface. Also, I never thought gelcote was a terrific water barrier to begin with. I have checked other 9.1s on the Chespeake and haven't seen any problems like this. Has anyone experienced this? Have you repaired? |
