Douglaston NY - Joe Heslin reports that although his 9.1SE Sailin Shoes is still for sale, that hasn’t kept them from racing. In the Spring of 1999 they did six races in the American Yacht Club’s Spring Series on Long Island Sound. After scoring six firsts and even throwing one out, boats with 7 and 8 points were awarded boat-of-the-week and runner-up. Obviously shocked, Joe asked the Chairman “What do I have to do to win this thing?” Joe would like to do a Chicago-to-Mac on a 9.1! |
