2000 CLASS RACING SCHEDULE

Please contact the Class Officers regarding participation in any of these events.

2000 NORTH AMERICAN ONE DESIGN CHAMPIONSHIP
Chicago NOOD Regatta
Chicago Illinois
June 16-18, 2000
Five races hosted by the Chicago Yacht Club and sponsored by Sailing World magazine. Races will be held off-shore of the Monroe Street yacht basin on Lake Michigan. Etched glass Class trophies awarded to top finishers.

2000 GREAT LAKES ONE DESIGN CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
As in past years, a total of up to twenty individual races at four events will constitute the 2000 Great Lakes Championship. Boats will be scored on their best finishes in 70 percent of the individual races completed. DNS scores will be figured by adding one to the total number of boats competing in the series. Engraved wood trophies will awarded to the top four boats for the series. The four events comprising the series are as follows:

1. South Haven Invitational Regatta
South Haven Michigan
June 3-4, 2000
Five races hosted by the South Haven Yacht Club and held off-shore of the South Haven pier in Lake Michigan.

2. Chicago NOOD Regatta
Chicago Illinois
June 16-18, 2000
Five races hosted by the Chicago Yacht Club and sponsored by Sailing World magazine. Races will be held off-shore of the Monroe Street yacht basin on Lake Michigan.

3. Milwaukee Grand Prix
Milwaukee Wisconsin
August 5-6, 2000
Five races hosted by the Milwaukee Yacht Club and sponsored by Sailing magazine. Races will be held off-shore of Milwaukee on Lake Michigan.

4. Muskegon Governors Cup
Muskegon Michigan
September 2-3, 2000
Five races hosted by the Muskegon Yacht Club and held off-shore of the Muskgon pier on Lake Michigan.


2000 HOOK RACE
As a bonus to the 2000 Great Lakes One Design Championship and to encourage Class participation in this event, boats will be allowed to substitute finishes in this event for their overall scoring in the Great Lakes Championship IF four Class boats start in this regatta.

July 22, 2000
A long distance race hosted by the Racine Yacht Club where entrants race from Racine Wisconsin through "Death’s Door" on the Door County Peninsula, finishing at Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin.
